Who can participate? (Hint: there are kid AND adult prizes this year!)
Kids' Contest: All kids ages 17 and younger shall be registered by a parent or guardian by filling out the online form at bit.ly/KidRegShopLocal or complete the attached form and submit in one of our two drop box locations: Seagren's Hardware in Two Harbors or Julie?s True Value in Silver Bay.
Adult Contest: Why should the kids have all the fun? We added adult prizes this year! Adults may register the same way as the kids, online at bit.ly/AdultRegShopLocal or by dropping your completed registration form at one of the two drop box locations. ANY adult Lake County resident may register, not just parents of registered kids!
How Does it Work?
Help a kid win! Shop locally in Lake County and save your receipts from retail stores, restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, etc. dated November 29, 2019 through December 31, 2019. Each dollar spent locally equals one point - on top of each receipt, write the name of a registered kid whom you'd like to assign those points. How Does it Work?
How do adults win? Three lucky adults will also win cash grand prizes!! As a registered adult turns in receipts for a kid in the contest, they also write THEIR name on the receipt! Each receipt submitted gives that adult one entry in the adult prize drawings. Simple as that!
**EARN EXTRA ENTRIES ON SOCIAL MEDIA!**
Snap a photo while you shop - a selfie, product photo, business sign or logo - and post to your Facebook or Instagram! Each social media post gives one additional adult prize entry. All posts must tag the Lake County Chamber of Commerce, tag the business when possible and use the hashtag #ShopLocalLakeCounty. (Facebook: Lake County Chamber of Commerce, Instagram: lovinlakecounty)
Contest begins November 29, 2019 and ends at noon December 31, 2019.
